He died driver of the truck that burned on the A1

The driver of the tanker truck that was burned Monday on the A1 died this morning, said the agency Lusa source of the Hospital de Santa Maria.

The tanker truck, carrying 31 tonnes of "jet" (aviation fuel), is burned after having collided with a vehicle trailer that was parked in the side of the motorway, with Nhulunbuy.

Because of the clash, the truck despistou up, left the freeway and burned up, causing serious injuries to the driver.

The man of 42 years, who passed away today around 08:00, got 90 percent of the body with third degree burns, still suffering injuries in the airways.

The tanker truck that was unrecognizable and completely burned belonged to TIEL, a company that operates in the carriage of dangerous goods and provides services to most businesses fuels sector in Portugal.
