Episode of 1982 reported by the public prosecutor in the case of Casa Pia as evidence proximity to Jorge Ritto
Four years after the start of the trial, prosecutors began to enumerate the evidence that in his view, incriminate the defendants. The prosecutor ensures that Carlos Cruz went to the home of the ambassador Ritto.
The prosecutor John Aibéo started the allegations citing an episode dating back to 1982, where a young couple of the institution was found in the home of Ambassador Jorge Ritto in Cascais.
While recognizing that this episode contains no facts that would incriminate the defendants, John Aibéo found that the testimony provided in court indicated that Carlos Cruz went to home of Jorge Ritto, which allegedly occurred "orgies and Jasons."
According to the prosecutor, this episode and the fact that Cruz has been heard in 1984 by the PJ has made the presenter had "more care and caution", although it continued to pursue the same actions. The magistrate stressed that the MP Cross, three days after the arrest of main accused, Carlos Silvino, gave interviews to TV stations.
The presenter was in "three major TV news" and "managed to stir up the three times." John Aibéo also noted that this attitude was the suicide of the suspect. "Offered to the view of those who wanted to compromise. If it had not gone to television, probably would not be involved in this process," he said.
Aibéo made even harsh criticism of the way the PJ has some steps. Said the fact that an interrogation to a couple allegedly abused by defendants have been performed by a trainee, but have appeared signed by Arthur Pereira, then director of the PJ in Lisbon.
Even as the interrogation, the prosecutor also said that other surveys have been signed by researchers Rosa Mota (coordinator) and Andre Dias (Chief Inspector, now retired), without any of them had participated in interrogations.
Another detail highlighted by the MP was the failure to record the hours that began and ended in steps, which would have avoided delays in the trial.
Accusations made by the defense of the seven defendants, according to which the contacts between the witnesses during the investigation could provide evidence of the settlement between them, John Aibéo led to believe that this hypothesis can only be the result of a "delusional imagination."
To refute the possibility, which the psychiatrist said Alvaro Carvalho - who followed clinically young casapianos alleged victims - provided encounters between them, but that "if they were to mount a conspiracy, was not in his office at Casa Pia who would find."
