Microsoft creates program against hackers

The U.S. software giant Microsoft announced it will offer free of charge from the next year, a security program designed to prevent attacks from hackers.

The "hill" provide "a complete protection against viruses, including spyware, Trojan horses-for-and other threats, the systems XP, Vista and Windows 7.

It should be available for download in the second half of 2009.

In parallel, Microsoft intends to terminate the sale of their current security program, Windows Live OneCare, from June 30.

Several analysts highlighted in this Wednesday, that the initiative means a bad news for companies specializing in security for PCs, such as McAfee and Symantec.

"This new offering will allow us to protect free and increasingly consumers, especially in markets where growth in sales of computers is exceeded only by the growth of malware," said the director of online services at Microsoft, Amy Barzdukas.
